CMS Pilot Program For Medicare Reimbursement of CBD Products

The CMS has released some information on the up and coming medicare reimbursement pilot program slated to start in April.  Very soon.

I want to outline one thing in this article is that they state the products can have up to 3mg per serving to be reimbursed, when in November 2026, the maximum allowed in CBD products will be .4mg per container, not just serving.

It will be interesting to see the future changes when it comes to this pilot program, as they have stated they will change the amounts to align with federal law, should they change -- although they are already slated to change in November.

Here's to hoping we can have a federal framework of a low THC CBD program federally legal throughout the country with a conservative amount of 3mg per serving, as that's no where near enough (for most people) to achieve active intoxication with a single dose (with most people, a lot of people will feel relief at this level, myself included, minus the intoxication.)
